TV Tuesday: More dancing and Made in America

Well I think I will take this little opportunity each week to share my favorite dance with you and maybe include something else I have enjoyed as well. I started it last week, and after watching this weeks' episode, I just can't keep it to myself!  The story this week is: 2 best friends...he has been left heartbroken at the altar by his fiancee...she is there to pick him up and put him together...he realizes SHE is the one:o) Enjoy!

Ok, the other interesting thing I saw this week and have actually been following for several weeks, is ABC Nightly News' report called "Made in America". The series has been covering the idea of "What would happen if we made and bought only products made in America?" The theory is that if we would simply check the labels on things before we by them, if businesses demanded their products be made in the USA, and if we start luring companies back home rather than shipping jobs away, it will turn around our dismal economy. Every night, I am amazed to see the difference that this makes. Here are a few videos to show you what is happening. As an experiment, start looking around your house. Would your house have anything left in it if you only had American products?  I am going to try to make an effort to buy more American products, and I think you should join me:o)

That is so funny you mention this! On Monday, we hauled the kids to the Sunbury 4th of July parade because 1)who doesn't love a good parade to celebrate our independence and 2)our church sells homemade ice cream :) Yum! While sitting curbside taking in all the sights and scrambling for thrown candy, one of the floatees handed us 4 mini plastic U.S.A. flags, stamped "MADE IN CHINA."
I tried to give mine back and then continued to yell at each one of them as they went by. I wasn't obnoxious...just making a point and our neighboring parade goers caught on too and were also peeved.
My letter to our mayor went in the mail Tuesday demanding they re-evaluate this practice and I was sure to include our Chinese flag. U.S.A.! U.S.A.!
