The first market of the season!

I have been looking forward to this morning for a long time. We love living so close to the largest farmers market in Central Ohio, The Worthington Farmers Market. Today was the first outdoor market of the year (during the winter, it moves indoors to the Shops At Worthington).

Don't be surprised if this adventure pops up over and over as we discover new local vendors and seasonal favorites each week.

Tip #1- Get there early. If you wait until 10:00, I promise you won't find parking and you'll be annoyed with the crowds. We try to get there before 9 AM and there is always plenty of parking in this lot.
Which is adjacent to this church, home of the most beautiful landscaping ever.
We decided to cross the street first and began with Kingdom Fish. They were so nice to Larkyn, who asked them if they had cim-namon rolls and was a little leary of their fish. PS- that tilapia is in our fridge right now and will be our dinner tonight. They harvest the fish the morning of the market, so it is as fresh as it can be!

Next on the list was finding a cinnamon roll for my addict. We spotted some at Dana Lee's Bakery and she instantly changed her mind and wanted this cookie. The kind storeowner let her have an "imperfect" MM cookie when we bought the cinnamon roll. I actually thought I was going to pass out at all the options under these little domes. I'm not kidding--pepperoni rolls, mini carrot cakes, turnovers...we spent almost all our cash there and I will be back!

By the time we got to the sweet owner of Southern Girl Biscuits, we were already full of sugar. But her displays of fairy blossoms and adorable booth pulled Larkyn right in. She couldn't have been nicer!

Toward the end of our journey, Larkyn was thirsty and you know how this girl loves her milk. She was savvy enough to remember that mommy puts milk in her coffee, so if we find coffee, there will be milk. I will be back with a full review of ride.home (bike shop/coffee shop!) because their cold brewed coffee was out of this world.
I can't get enough flowering trees. Spring, stay forever?

Have you been to the Worthington Farmers Market?  Who would you try next?
